YAP Jin Rui
I am a PhD researcher in the Adaptive Mobility, Infrastructure, and Land-use group at the Future Cities Lab. My experience with simulation models dates back to when I was a building technology consultant, developing models to analyze building enclosure components to inform better enclosure designs. Since then, I have worked on models of various other methodologies and scales, ranging from network models representing road and electricity infrastructures and agent-based models representing digital twins of cities. Underpinning these different projects is an interest to improve decision-support for tackling complex problems and mitigating the environmental, economic and social challenges that we face in today’s world.
