Visit to FCL by the Urban Greenery Systems team, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin

FCL Global Singapore hub welcomed a delegation from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) Department of Landscape Planning and Design, Poland.

On February 12, 2025, Future Cities Laboratory Global Singapore hub welcomed a delegation from Poland, representing the Greenery Systems team of the Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II (John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin), Department of Landscape Planning and Design.

The team visited the programme as part of a study visit which aims to investigate blue-green infrastructure models for Polish cities. The KUL representatives shared their plans and achievements, and discussed the unique urban context of Poland. FCL Global representatives from the modules Agropolitan Territories of Monsoon Asia (ARG), Dense and Green Cities (DEN), and Comparative Ecology of Cities (CEC) presented their work on nature-based solutions, ecosystem services, rewilding urban greenery, conservation, and the design and smart management of multifunctional corridors and green areas. The meeting was an engaging discussion, with the researchers sharing insights from their work and discussing challenges and opportunities.
