Dense+Green Cities exhibition

29 Aug 20 - 16 Feb 21 | Dense and Green Cities will be part of the Open Space exhibition in Venice, presenting the interaction between buildings and the city as an ecological system.

Dense and Green Cities exhibition

Dense+Green Cities: Architecture as Urban Ecosystem explores the interaction between buildings and the city as ecological systems in terms of the concept, planning, design, technology, and experience. The dimensions of “green building” are presented through case studies in the forms of images, analytical drawings and analysis to provide insights to some of the most innovative Dense+Green Cities of recent years in Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

The exhibition in Venice is part of the Open Space exhibition organised by the European Cultural Centre. The works presented are the outcomes of research conducted by the Dense and Green Building Typologies team in the Future Cities Laboratory, led by Prof. Thomas Schroepfer and Prof. Sacha Menz.

Open Space highlights the important influence of art and design on our lives, by highlighting the relationship with public spaces and communities. It invites visitors to reflect on the connection between public spaces in urban context and the specific concepts highlighted by individual exhibitions presented.
