Eugene SOH

Project officer (NTU) of Urban BioCycles Mycelium Digitalisation

Eugene is part of the team in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) working on the Mycelium module. He was first exposed to the fungal material during his Final Year Project under the mentorship of Asst. Prof Hortense Le Ferrand and continued working on the project after graduation. He currently works on the mechanical characterization of mycelium composites with the aim of improving their properties through design.

In his free time, he enjoys watching football and basketball. He also coaches football for kids (6 - 10 years old) over the weekends too!

Research Interests

Investigating the effects of porosity and structural design in improving the mechanical properties of novel mycelium composites. Exploring the use of agar as a medium for the 3D printing of mycelium.
