Assoc Prof. Bu Sung LEE, Francis
Bu-Sung Lee, is an academic with a colourful mix of exposure/contribution to industry and society.
He was involved in the set-up of HP Lab in Singapore and was the Director, Service Platform Lab, HP Labs(Singapore) 2010-2012. During this period he build up the research team that made major impact in the community. Some of the achievements/projects are Trust Cloud, sentiment analysis of social media.
He currently holds the position as Director, International Networks at National SuperComputing Center(Singapore). He is the mentor and advisor to the NTU student teams that has won various awards at Student Cluster Competitions, eg. Overall Champion and Highest Linpack at SC’17.
He is the founding president of SingAREN, and was instrumental in the developing and operation of SingAREN Open Exchange, which is a major research and education network point of presence in the region. He also plays a prominent role in the regional and global research and education community, eg. Asi@connect project, TransPAC5.
