Ayda Grisiute

Researcher at Cities Knowledge Graph

Ayda is a researcher at the Singapore - ETH Centre and joined the City Knowledge Graph project in February 2020. Her role is to support the overall research and development of the Cities Knowledge Graph prototype. She will be particularly focusing on user interface functionalities, visualization modes, geometric city data transformation and workflow design.

During her thesis, Ayda developed a decision support tool that translates systemic thinking and dynamic patterns into an immersive computational design method. Its goal is to improve communication and simulation of abstract and complex urban data and enhance the planning processes dialogue between different stakeholders and to support decision-making processes.

After her studies in Finland, Germany, Italy and Lithuania, she took on professional positions in architecture and urban planning fields, working on recreational and hospitality projects.

Additionally, since 2020 she worked as independent creative on biodegradable and cellulose-based material applications for urban space by designing responsive pavilions and data-driven urban furniture.
